Flintshire Bridge is an asymetric cable-stayed bridge across the River Dee on the A548 near Flint, Flintshire. It was opened by H.M. Queen Elizabeth on 6 March 1998.

Flintshire Bridge approach

Total length is 954m and deck width 28m for the dual carriageway and paths. The 118m high A shaped tower supports the 294m main span (an in-situ cast concrete deck) by way of 38 pairs of stay cables. There are access viaducts on either side – 390m on the east and 270m on the west. On the main span the 194m longer span counterbalances the 100m end span.

The proposal and design, following a selection competition, was completed by Gifford Graham and Partners (part of Ramboll Group). Architect was Percy Thomas Partnership.
