Hector's Bridge is south of Beattock Summit on the former main road from Glasgow to Carlisle. It crosses Evan Water.
It is a single bridge built for the dual carriageway with stone parapets and it replaced an earlier bridge. It was possibly built as part of the Telford Bridge, Elvanfoot - Hectors Bridge contract by Murdoch Mackenzie Ltd. which was mostly open in 1964 per the 1964 Scottish Development Department Report. The adjacent southern section was completed in 1965.
It was converted to S2 and became the B7076 following the opening of the adjacent A74(M) in 1999.
