The Newstead Farm Interchange is a junction of the A562 Speke Road, and the Southern terminus of the A5300 Knowsley Expressway which opened on 15 April 1996. The junction as a whole operates at the National Speed Limit and has a bypass lane onto the A5300 Northbound from the A562 Eastbound, and onto the A562 Eastbound from the A5300 Southbound.
The interchange has partial signalisation on the circulatory carriageway
