Greenwich is a town in London.
The Thames, A2 and A102 take the north, south and east sides of the town respectively. Over the river is Docklands, and to the south is Lewisham. The foot tunnel across the Thames from Island Gardens, forms a major link in the National Cycle Network, as the lowest downstream crossing. Greenwich is the zero point for longitude, with the meridian through the Royal Observatory.
It seems that a bypass of Greenwich to the north was once proposed as part of the Docklands Southern Relief Road.
