Levenhall Roundabout lies in the Levenhall district to the east of Musselburgh. It is a circular four arm junction where the A199 (former A1) meets the B1348 and B6454. The former heads north east into Prestonpans, while the latter southwest almost parallel to the A199 to the south of Musselburgh's town centre. The roundabout was built in the early 1960s, when the A1 still passed this way. It was re-routed onto the new dual carriageway Musselburgh bypass in 1986, and the A199 extended over its former alignment. The two arms of the A199 have two approach lanes to separate turning traffic. The B6454 also appears to have had so, but one lane has been hatched out.
