The C34 starts at a junction with the A68 and B6367 at Pathhead and heads north west, crossing the Tyne Water in the village of Ford (There is now a bridge!), then continues across the B6372. After passing through the small villages of Edgehead and Whitehill. the route comes to an end on the A6106 on the edge of Dalkeith.
