Cross Four Ways is, as its name suggests, a crossroads junction between the A3 and A7 to the west of Ballasalla. Although in many ways the A3 is the more important route for cross-island journeys, it has to give way to the A7, which forms an important link across the south of the island between Ballasalla and Port Erin. The bellmouth for the northern arm of the A3 is substantially wider than the southern arm, and skewed eastwards towards Ballasalla, producing a pseudo stagger to the junction. Signage at the junction is unusual in as much as most arms are signed to more than one destination, the exception being that Port Erin is not signed at all. The junction is also the north eastern corner of the Southern 100 Course, a short circuit used for motorbike racing.
