Diamond Interchange is the local name for the junction on the A725 which serves the northern parts of the vast industrial estates either side of the Bellshill Bypass. It was not an original junction on the bypass, but added later as the industrial estates grew, in order to reduce the volume of traffic using the Belziehill Junction to the south. The junction was originally a standard dumbbell layout, with two small roundabouts and opposing sliproads. The fourth arm of each roundabout then led into the estates. In the mid 2000s, the junction was slightly modified and the northbound onslip closed up. It was relocated slightly further north, with a second offslip, in order to better serve the Strathclyde Business Park which had been developed at this location. The old onslip was therefore converted into a standard two-way road, running alongside the bypass to meet the new sliproads at a signalised crossroads, where a loop road through the business park formed the north and west arms of the junction.
