NCN18 runs from Royal Tunbridge Wells to Canterbury via Tenterden and Ashford. The first section is hilly and passes through the forest known as Bedgbury Pinetum. Later there are two significant off-road sections which follow the banks of the River Stour, first via Ashford and later into Canterbury from the village of Chartham.
