Thurrock Council is the Highway Authority for all the roads in the Administrative County of Thurrock, with the exception of Trunk roads managed by National Highways.

It lies within the historic county of Essex.

Highways Maintenance

The council is responsible for the maintenance of 315 miles of road and associated footways, 200 bridges and structures and winter maintenance on 180 miles of the road network.
