This ferry operates a service from Kirkwall on the Orkney mainland to Rapness on the isle of Westray in Orkney's Northern Isles. Some sailings then continue to Papa Westray, where all vehicles have to be lifted on and off the ferry.
There is also a passenger-only sailing from Papa Westray to Pierowall on Westray, which is cheaper but nowhere near as quick as the flight between the two island's airports. This takes just two minutes, and is reputedly the shortest scheduled air service in the world!
