The B4298 is a rural B-road in central Carmarthenshire. The road was originally unclassified but gained its number in 1935.
The road starts at a TOTSO on the B4299 in the centre of Meidrim and heads east, immediately crossing a narrow bridge over the Afon Dewi Fawr and then continuing on to reach open country. The road follows a winding route across undulating countryside. A few more buildings are passed but the road reaches no more places of any size. Presently a T-junction is reached on the original route of the A40; the B4298 TOTSOs left here then bends round to the right to end at a T-junction on the A-road's present route.
