Bellside Roundabout is a small, tightly confined four arm roundabout at Bellside to the north of Wishaw on the A73. The A73 to the south is dualled down to the next roundabout on the edge of Wishaw, but reduces to a single carriageway before reaching Bellside. It is then further restricted as it squeezes under the railway bridge to the north of the roundabout, although this has recently been rebuilt to lift the bridge deck higher and so remove the old height restriction under the bridge. This previously led to overheight traffic being diverted west along the B7029 to Cleland, where an overbridge allowed it to follow a minor road back to the A73.
The fourth arm of the roundabout is the former line of the A73 through Bellside and back towards Wishaw, and while it is still open to traffic in the village, it then becomes a footpath back to the new dual carriageway. All four arms are single lane on the approach, without even traffic islands, while the small size of the roundabout itself means that there is only really room for one circulatory lane. Pedestrians are all directed across the A73 to the north of the roundabout, passing between it and the railway bridge.
