C39 (Eilean Siar)

The C39 starts at the western end of the B8011 at Uig and continues south west, vaguely following the rugged coastline. At first it runs south to avoid the Traigh Uige (Uig Sands), then turns west through Ardroil, croissing a couple of bridges over the channels that flow out across the sands. After the second bridge, there is a sharp left turn up a steep hill (Carnish lies on the shore to the right). Not far beyond the top of the hill the road reaches a fork by Mangurstadh School, and here the C39 appears to end. Unfortunately, the council list is a little unclear, and it cannot be identified if the C39 continues further or not.
