The C85 is an odd road which starts at a bend on the B892 to the east of Balivanich and snakes south east around Loch Dun Mhurchaidh. After a couple more bends it reaches the A865 island spine road, which it crosses and continues east to the market stance, where it terminates, pretty much in the middle of nowhere.
