The C47 forms a loop to the north west of the A857, serving the settlements of Siadar (Shader). It is best described as forming 3 sides of a square, with a spur forming two sides of a square inside. Starting at Upper Shader, the route runs north west to the shore, then turns north east, parallel with the shore, before turning back south east to the main road at Lower Shader. Before reaching the A857 again, a spur turns south west to pass through the main part of Lower Shader village, it too turning to meet the main road.
