Checkbar Roundabout is loosely the motorway interchange junction 1 of the M876. However, none of the roads leading from the roundabout are under motorway restrictions! The main east-west route is the A883, which passes west under the motorway to reach the eastbound slips at a simple T junction. Heading south from the roundabout is the very short A8004, which links the roundabout to the Glasgow-bound M876 and the unclassified road to Bonnybridge. Finally, heading north across Dunipace Bridge is the B905 which briefly seemed to be elevated to be part of the A8004, but is no longer marked as such. Traffic leaving the Westbound carriageway of the motorway reaches the roundabout this way, but not before a TOTSO with an unclassified road, and then a give way onto the B905!
