Bowtrees Interchange is Junction 3 of the M876. It was formerly Bowtrees Roundabout: a busy roundabout at the end of the M876. It was rebuilt 2005-2008 into a dumbbell junction in readiness for the opening of the Clackmannanshire Bridge, which saw the A876 from here to Higgins Neuk Roundabout upgraded from single to dual carriageway.
The A905 to the north is single carriageway, but under the junction and to the south of the southern roundabout it is dualled, continuing down to the short A88. The only other road to meet either roundabout is an unclassified (or possibly a slip road for the A876) which leads along the southern side of the new dual carriageway, connecting the houses of Haughs of Airth. Leading off the north roundabout there is also a service area, with filling station and hotel.
