For the Milton Interchange north of Cambridge, Junction 33 of the A14, see Milton Interchange (Cambridgeshire).
Milton Interchange is a busy junction on the A34 west of Didcot.
It was built in the late 1970s, where the new A34 crossed the road from Milton Hill to Milton. A new link road was provided to the west, taking the A4130. To the east, the crossing of the railway via Milton Bridge was salvaged, but a second bridge was built and the road became a dual carriageway. The new A34 had been threaded around this and Milton Heights.
Space was left for the A4130 to the east to be built, and this arrived a few years later.
The Didcot area proved to be a major growth area, and this junction has seen a significant increase in traffic. A filter lane was added for Milton traffic and, more recently, a through-pass was built as part of a major upgrade scheme.
