The A44 (renumbered from the B63 in the mid-1920s) is a medium-length A-road in northern County Antrim.
The road starts at a TOTSO on the A2 in the market place of the coastal town of Ballycastle. The road climbs to the west along Castle Street and there are several side roads returning to the A2 which runs parallel until the two roads separate after leaving town.
We TOTSO left, with the road ahead the B67, and then continue south across the hills. We soon reach the village of Armoy, where we cross the River Bush and have a brief multiplex with the B15. We continue on, across flat land with hills still visible to the left. There are a few bends but we soon arrive at a T-junction on the A26, where the road ends.
