This article is about the original and still extant A5207 in Kirkby. For the former A5207 (present B5207) between the A59 at Aintree and the A565 at Thornton, see A5207 (Aintree - Thornton).
Heading north
The original A5207 is a short link road near Kirkby in southwest Lancashire. It is dual-carriageway for its entire length.
The road starts at M57J4, a roundabout to the south of the A580 and served by a spur of that road, where we also meet the B5194. We head north, signposted as a second spur of the A580, to cross it at traffic lights, where the A5207 number first appears on the signs. We continue northeastwards, with a residential area of Kirkby to the left and an industrial estate to the right; there are several gaps in the central reservation, some controlled by traffic lights, serving roads connecting to either.
Presently the road reaches its second roundabout where it ends on the A5208. Ahead is an unclassified road leading into the Knowsley Business Park.
