Route outline (key) | ||||
|
NCN754 is a very long route cutting across the middle of Scotland and linking the two largest cities, Glasgow and Edinburgh. However, despite its length, it is easy to describe the route, which follows the towpath of the Forth & Clyde Canal from NCN7 at Clydebank to the Falkirk Wheel, and then follows the towpath of the Union Canal into the centre of Edinburgh.
Along the way, the route meets NCN756 at Maryhill, which follows the River Kelvin into Glasgow City Centre, NCN755 at Kirkintilloch which heads west along the edge of the Campsie Fells and then NCN75 a number of times as the two run into Edinburgh City Centre.
