Bodmin is a former county town of Cornwall, and a primary destination on the A30. The A38 from Plymouth ends here, as does the A389 from Wadebridge.
A high-quality dual carriageway bypass opened in 1977, but the A30 either side of it through Temple and Goss Moor wasn't upgraded until the 21st century.
