Andorra
Andorra is a small landlocked country in the central Pyrenees, shared between France and Spain. Because of the imposing geography, it is only accessible by one route from each country.

The road network
Motorways
Andorra has no motorways, owing to the mountainous geography of the Pyrenees.
Other main roads
The numbers of principal roads – displayed in a white-on-red cartouche – are prefixed by CG (Carretera General); those of secondary roads – displayed in a white-on-green cartouche – by CS (Carretera Secundària).
CG1 is the main road towards Spain, which connects Andorra la Vella to the border along the valley of the Rio Gran Valira. From here, the road leads to Lleida and the rest of Spain.
GC2 is the main road towards France, via Pas de la Casa. There is also a road tunnel avoiding the steepest bit of the pass, and the popular skiing traffic in the area. The road leads to the N20 north to Toulouse, or east via the Col du Puymorens to Puigcera, Barcelona and Perpignan.
