The C16 is listed as Broadlea Road in Neilston. However, extensive searches have failed to identify a Broadlea Road in the Neilston area. Instead, it appears that historically Broadlea was sometimes spelt as Broadlie, and there is a Broadlie Road in Neilston, however some council documents available online list both spellings, implying they are different roads. Broadlie Road starts next to the church on the C3, Main Street, and heads westwards alongside the churchyard to a junction. Here we have to turn left to stay on Broadlie Road as it runs between Victorian and mid 20th Century housing. The road soon comes to a dead end however, and is somewhat shorter than the 560m stated in the council list.
Whilst it is by no means certain that this is the C16 route, it is currently the best guess.
