The C54 follows Bonnyton Moor Road near Eaglesham. This now appears to start at a roundabout on the C9, which was realigned to accommodate the A726. It therefore initially follows a section of the old C9, before turning left onto Bonnyton Moor Road proper. This runs south west, up the hill past the golf course to a near hairpin where it meets the end of the C55. Only a track continues ahead onto the moors.
