Carrickmines Interchange is junction 15 of the M50. The road through here opened in June 2005, and the interchange opened a few months later.
The junction is a modified dumbbell arrangement, with three roundabouts. The three roundabouts are named Carrickmines North Roundabout, Carrickmines South Roundabout and Glenamuck Road North Roundabout.
It provides access to the expanding Carrickmines area of Dublin, as well as to Leopardstown Racecourse (which is positioned next to the M50), and a park and ride site for people coming from the south. Immediately north-west of here, the Cherrywood branch of the Luas Green line crosses the M50.
