Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) (Bonneagar Iompair Éireann) is the operational name of the National Roads Authority (NRA), an Irish state body founded in 1994 under the terms of the Roads Act 1993 and responsible for the planning and management of the Republic of Ireland's National Roads Network – motorways, national primary, and national secondary roads – as well as for supervising the construction and maintenance of these roads.
Use of the present operational name was authorized by Statutory Instrument No 297/2015 – Roads Act 2015 (Operational Name of National Roads Authority) Order 2015 – which specified Transport Infrastructure Ireland as "a name by which the National Roads Authority may describe itself for operational purposes [...] to better reflect its expanded remit following the transfer [to it] of [the] functions of the Railway Procurement Agency", and the change came into effect on 1 August 2015.
Among other responsibilities, TII operate the 'Motorway Traffic Control Centre' in Dublin. This is responsible for monitoring roadside technology and logging incidents on Ireland's motorways and high-quality dual carriageways. To tackle issues on the M50, in 2021 they began the 'enhancing Motorway Operation Services' Programme (eMOS), which involved introducing the Network Intelligence & Management System (NIMS) to the M50 and its feeder roads.
