Milgarholm Roundabout is the junction of the A71 and the road through Milgarholm Park in Irvine which connects to Annick Road. It is where the Irvine Bypass Link meets the Irvine Southern Approach Road. The A71 runs from Edinburgh to Irvine.
History
The junction is situated near the middle of the of the Irvine Southern Approach Road, which was reported as due to open next week by the Irvine Herald of 4 June 1971. It had been opened by 23 June 1971. It was designed to reduce congestion at The Cross.
There was no junction until the Irvine Bypass Link from Warrix Interchange was opened in 1981. It was reported as opened by the Irvine Herald of 18 December 1981 and it linked the A78 Bypass to the town centre by either of the routes from Milgarholm Roundabout.
