Port St Mary is a village and a Primary Destination in the south west corner of the Isle of Man. The growth of new housing estates mean that it has very nearly become part of its larger, and prettier neighbour, Port Erin. The village of Port St Mary has a pleasant enough setting, curving around the western shore of Port St Mary Bay, and the harbour is now a busy marina. However, when compared to the other larger coastal settlements on the Isle of Man, Port St Mary seems to be a little quiet and sleepy, and lacks the quaint charm of the larger towns.
The A29 and A31 meet at a crossroads on the northern edge of the village, but it is the B18 which actually serves the village, passing the shops on the main street. This almost forms a loop around the older heart of the village, but for some strange reason, Park Road is numbered as the B28 to complete the loop.
