This article is about the original route, from Bakewell to Hathersage in Derbyshire.

For the later use along the Haslingden Bypass, see A622 (Lancashire).
The A622 was a relatively short A-road in the Derbyshire Peak District.
Starting on the A619 to the north of Bakewell, the road headed north. After crossing the A623 at Calver it followed the River Derwent upstream, crossing it shortly before ending on the A625 (now the A6187) at Hathersage.
The road was downgraded in the 1960s and renumbered B6001. A short section in Calver is now the southern end of the A625.
