Civic Centre Roundabout is the name of a large gyratory in the centre of Poole. It was built out of existing streets.
The original junction here was called Brownbottom Corner. It was where Brownbottom Road (since renamed Fernside Road) met North Road, Commercial Road and Parkstone Road. The Fernside renaming happened in the early 20th century, suggesting the junction name was forgotten around this time too.
By the 1950s that junction had been converted to a roundabout, with the memorial clock tower in the centre. Some civic facilities had been attracted to the area, but otherwise things were broadly the same.
By the 1970s, Park Road and Sandbanks Road had been included to create the gyratory layout that is there today. The old roundabout was largely removed, but its shape could be made out in the entrance to North Road.
