Millbrook Roundabout is a grade-separated junction close to Southampton City Centre. Serving the docks and the surrounding retail parks, it has been the subject of various improvement schemes and associated rants.
The junction is built on the site of what was originally the A36 meeting the A3067. The area around this urban T-junction was largely demolished in the 1950s to allow for a new roundabout, serving Tebourbra Way.
By the 1960s three of the roads had been dualled, and the roundabout was enlarged to cater for this and a new exit into the industrial area to the south. By the 1980s Millbrook Road was mostly dualled, and the concrete flyover was provided.
