Mill Roundabout is a large five armed roundabout on the A705 to the west of Livingston new town. It also marks the eastern end of the short multiplex with the B7015. Although built on the original line of the A705, that route has completely changed course through the junction. The eastern part of what is now the A705 follows Cousland Road towards the town centre. This road was built in the late 1960s with grade separation further east, and future proofed for dualling, although this has never happened. However, it was not until the mid 1970s, as the new town grew, that the A705 was diverted onto this route. Its former line is now numbered as the B7015 to the east, although it takes a somewhat different route through parts of the town. To the west, the A705 followed Old Cousland Road until 2002, when it was diverted onto a short section of the B7015, so creating the multiplex, and then a new piece of road to reach Toll Roundabout a short distance to the west. Old Cousland Road is now a dead end serving a housing estate. The fifth arm has always been unclassified and heads north to Eliburn.
The roundabout has a large central island, probably also future proofed for the construction of the second carriageway on the A705. Certainly, to the west, Old Cousland Road has a wide verge for some distance, suggesting it was intended to start the dualling to the west of the junction. However, as it stands, all of the routes only have single approach and departure lanes, and there are no circulatory markings on the junction.
