The R198 is a cross-country road in the north Irish Midlands, starting on the R212 in Cavan and ending on the N63 in Longford after passing through Crossdoney, Arvagh, and Drumlish. It follows an overall southwesterly course, even though it leaves Cavan town heading firmly towards the northwest!
The Camlin Bridge was built 1718, rebuilt 1819 and widened 1993.
