Route outline (key) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The T35 was the main road from Dublin to Donegal via Cavan and Enniskillen.
The route follows the basic path of the N3 as far as Butler's Bridge north of Cavan, though the road has now been bypassed by the M3 in its southeastern section. Beyond here it multiplexed with the T10 (now the N54) to the border with Northern Ireland and County Fermanagh, and followed the A34 to Enniskillen, then the A35 to the border with County Donegal, where it resumed. It ended on the T18 in Laghy, south of Donegal. The modern N3 corridor takes a different route towards Enniskillen and passes south of Lough Erne to end in Ballyshannon.
