The C5 serves the small village of Cambusbarron, now really a suburb of Stirling, separated only by the M80. It starts on the C4, Kings Park Road in Stirling and heads west, crossing the motorway to pass through Cambusbarron on Birkhill Road and Main Street. Continuing west, the C5 eventually reaches the A811 near Craigniven, on the banks of the Forth.
