Harelaw Roundabout, formerly Harelaw Crossroads lies on the moors above Lanark, and is the meeting place of the A706 and A721. The two routes cross at roughly right angles, with the A706 running north-south and the A721 east-west at this point. This gives a regular four arm junction, albeit with a slightly ovoid island, and single approach and departure lanes on each arm. The Roundabout is an old one, first appearing on the 1966 edition of the OS One Inch Map, and it takes its name from Harelaw farm a short distance to the north.
