Tolvaddon Junction, also known as Tolvaddon Interchange is a highly modified Trumpet Junction between the A30 and A3047. It was originally built and opened with the Camborne - Redruth Bypass in 1976, it formed the main access to South Crofty Mine, one of the largest employers in the county and part of Cornwall's industrial heartland. The mines have since gone, but this is still an important area for the County and it seeing lots of investment due to its deprived nature with the loss of industry in the area.
These days it forms the main access to Camborne and Pool and as such has to deal with lots of traffic. Recent improvements have places more traffic lights on the junction to try and help those on the side roads.
