Penzance is a town in western Cornwall. It is the last Primary Destination on the A30 and the most southwesterly Primary Destination in England.
With the completion of improvements to the A30 further east, Penzance is now the only forward destination on the A30 that has not been fully upgraded to dual carriageway. Traffic still has to pass through villages such as Crowlas. Cornwall Council have petitioned Highways England to improve the route to the same standard as elsewhere, which was expected to be heard in 2025.
