Dummer Interchange is junction 7 of the M3, which serves south Basingstoke and the nearby village of Dummer. Most Basingstoke traffic is directed via J6 and Black Dam Roundabout, and consequently this is one of the quietest junctions on the M3.
A short spur road connects the roundabout to the nearby A30/A33 multiplex (the A30 has numbering priority), where both roads TOTSO. The spur road is signed as A30 in both directions.
In 1995 Granada proposed an MSA in the north-western corner of the junction, which would have been accessed from the spur road and then exited directly onto the roundabout. It was thrown out because the council felt Winchester Services would have less affect on the environment and on traffic, but many people argue that an MSA in this area would have served more people.
