Avers Junction

Avers Junction, as known as Avers Roundabout, is a grade separated roundabout junction between the A30 and A3047 north of Redruth.

It was built as part of the Camborne - Redruth Bypass in 1976 and forms one the main access point to Redruth from the A30. The main roundabout is connected to the A3047 by a pair of very short link roads to another roundabout interrupting the A3047 mainline. There is also access to a housing estate and will soon connect to a supermarket.

A junction has existed on the site since classification, as the B3299 met the road to North Country (a small village north of Redruth). When the original Redruth Bypass was built, it used the route of the B3299 up to Avers Junction, where it continued south-west of the junction. The junction was constructed as a roundabout when the original bypass was built and remained there when the new bypass was built.

It is one of only two grade separated roundabout junctions on the A30 (the other is with the A39 at Indian Queens) and is one of four junctions that the A30 and A3047 meet.
