Crossing the County River towards the R282
Another of the duplicate roads dating back to classification in 1923, this version of the B53 is a short link road in south County Fermanagh.
The road starts in the centre of the village of Garrison, at a junction where the B52 has to TOTSO, and then heads west out of the village to reach the shore of Lough Melvin. The road bears left and follows the loughside southwards until it reaches the County River.
This bridge marks the border and therefore the end of the B53. The road ahead, the R282, reaches Rossinver over a mile further on.
