Ketley Dingle Interchange

Ketley Dingle Interchange is M54 junction 6, located in Telford, Shropshire, and was constructed along with this stretch of the motorway in 1975.

Whilst it is currently a standard roundabout interchange, it is designed to incorporate an underpass in the north-south direction for the unconstructed Telford Western Primary Route. The north facing slip roads connect with Ketley Brook Roundabout so traffic travelling between the M54 and Western Primary North has to use both roundabouts. To avoid this early proposals had connections to the Western Primary from the southern roundabout so the use of Ketley Brook Roundabout was avoided but these links were omitted early on and all subsequent plans required traffic to use both roundabouts.

In the 1990s the Wrekin Retail Park was built which added an additional roundabout between the two junctions.
