The A5630 is a short link road on the edge of Leicester.
The road starts at a roundabout GSJ on the A46 Leicester bypass south of the village of Anstey. It heads southeast along Anstey Lane, which starts off D2. However, the central reservation disappears as we enter the City of Leicester. There are signs asking drivers to use both lanes and merge in turn, suggesting this is a bottleneck.
We cross a roundabout serving a hospital and an industrial estate before the road becomes dual once more for the short stretch to the terminus roundabout on the A563 outer ring road.
