The A6196 is the Glasshoughton Southern Link Road, which opened on the 29th of June 2020, running from Cutsyke Road North roundabout to the Colorado Way roundabout by the Xscape complex. The new section is named the same as the old, Whistler Drive. The western section is being developed as multiple housing estates
The western section of the road is a new build, the eastern section uses an access road to industrial and commercial units which had already been constructed.
