The A6138(M) is a possible number for the Slattocks Link Road, a spur of the A627(M) leading to the A664.
The number "A6138(M)" is disputed, as it does not appear on any road signs or official documentation, and only appears on a single map, a 1971 Esso map. This is likely either a mistake by the map creators or a trap road, a deliberate mistake to protect copyright.
Strangely, the number "A6138" appears to have never been allocated, supporting the theory that it is a mistake. However, the surrounding roads are numbered in a similar pattern, so if the A6138 did ever exist, it would likely have been nearby. Therefore, it is possible that this was the A6138(M), but was renumbered when the A6138 closed.
Overall, this is one of the most confusing debates of the whole network - and so far, apart from the map, no official evidence has been found that confirms the existence of either the A6138 or A6138(M). For now, it remains unknown which number this spur bears.
