The C2 follows St Andrew's Drive on the north side of the M8 beside Glasgow Airport. The road can be accessed from a roundabout on Sanderling Road (C1) to the south of the motorway via a dual carriageway but is otherwise one-way throughout. From this access, the road is westbound only as far as Junction 28 on the M8 where it meets the northern roundabout of a pair of roundabouts either side of the motorway which together form a "longabout" style interchange (albeit the southern roundabout being complete on its own). Junction 28 provides access to the eastbound M8 from the northern roundabout and an exit from the westbound M8 to the southern roundabout. A long slipway from Junction 29 St James Interchange leads to a clockwise only loop road from the northern roundabout of Junction 28 from which the airport itself can be accessed.
