EuroVelo 1 is a route along the Atlantic coast of Europe. In the British Isles it runs from Aberdeen to Inverness along NCN1, Inverness to Newton Stewart on NCN7, Newton Stewart to Stranraer on a unbuilt route, Belfast to Craigavon on NCN9, Craigavon to Cookstown on NCN94 and NCN95 and Cookstown to Strabane on NCN95 and NCN92. Passing into the Republic of Ireland at Strabane, it heads along the coast to Cork and Rosslare via an unrealised route. Crossing the Irish Sea once more, it travels from Fishguard to Bristol on NCN4, Bristol to Barnstaple on NCN3 (using NCN344 as a way of avoiding Tiverton) and Barnstaple to Plymouth on NCN27.
