Kidney Wood Roundabout is the northern end of the M1 St Albans bypass, on a former spur of the main motorway. It was junction 10A.
It was originally constructed as a flat roundabout, but construction started upon grade-separation in January 2014, initiated and implemented by Luton Borough Council, despite the spur still being a Trunk road and half the new junction being in Central Bedfordshire Council's domain. It was transformed from a roundabout to a folded dumbbell. The reconstruction of the junction was completed in April 2015.
The junction takes its name from the location of the original roundabout being next to woodland called Kidney Wood.
